4 Simple Rituals to Invite More Wealth, Opportunity and Prosperity
When most people think about abundance, they immediately think about money.
But abundance is much bigger than your bank account.
Abundance can look like opportunities arriving at the perfect time. It can be supportive relationships, meaningful work, good health, creative inspiration, unexpected solutions, financial growth, or simply feeling like life is moving in your favour.
At its core, abundance is an energy.
And like any energy, what we consistently focus on, nurture, and create space for tends to expand.
Over the years, I've explored many different traditions, rituals, and practices associated with abundance. Some are deeply spiritual, while others can be viewed through a practical mindset lens.
Regardless of how you approach them, these rituals have one thing in common:
They encourage you to consciously align your attention with what you want to create more of in your life.
Here are four of my favourite abundance practices.
1. Place Coins Around Your Home
This practice appears in various forms across many cultures and traditions.
The concept is simple.
Place coins or physical money in visible locations around your home or business to symbolically invite the energy of abundance into the space.
Many people believe that money attracts money.
Others view the practice as a powerful visual reminder of their financial goals and intentions.
Either way, the result is similar: you are creating regular subconscious prompts that keep your focus aligned with growth, opportunity, and prosperity.
Where to Place Coins
I recommend placing coins:
-
Near the entrance of your home
-
Near the entrance of your business
-
In the corners of living spaces
-
In your office or workspace
-
Near areas associated with financial activity
I generally avoid placing abundance symbols in bedrooms.
The energy of abundance is often associated with action, ambition, creativity, and movement, whereas bedrooms ideally support rest, calm, intimacy, and restoration.
2. Journal as Though It Has Already Happened
One of the most powerful abundance practices I know costs absolutely nothing.
A journal.
This technique is often associated with manifestation, visualisation, and future self work.
The process is simple:
Write about your goals as though they have already happened.
Not because you are pretending.
But because you are teaching your mind to become familiar with the reality you are creating.
How to Practice Abundance Journalling
Each day:
-
Write today's date.
-
Choose a goal you wish to achieve.
-
Write about it in the present tense.
-
Focus on gratitude, detail, and emotion.
For example:
"I am so grateful to be choosing the finishing touches for the home I've always dreamed of. Walking through each room fills me with excitement and gratitude. Every detail reflects the life I've worked hard to create."
The more vividly you can imagine the experience, the more emotionally connected you become to the possibility.
This isn't about wishful thinking.
It's about creating alignment between your thoughts, emotions, and actions.
3. Work with Green Candles and Abundance Affirmations
Throughout history, colour has been used symbolically within rituals and spiritual practices.
Green is commonly associated with:
-
Prosperity
-
Growth
-
Wealth
-
Expansion
-
Fertility
-
Opportunity
For this reason, many abundance rituals incorporate green candles.
Weekly Abundance Candle Ritual
Once each week:
-
Light a green candle.
-
Take a few moments to become present.
-
Write abundance-focused affirmations.
-
Visualise yourself receiving opportunities, support, prosperity, and growth.
Some affirmations you may wish to use include:
"I am abundant and supported."
"Money flows to me through aligned opportunities."
"I welcome prosperity into every area of my life."
"I have everything I need to create the future I desire."
"I am open to receiving abundance in expected and unexpected ways."
The candle acts as a physical symbol of your intention and commitment to growth.
4. Give Generously
This is perhaps the most powerful abundance practice of all.
When people think about abundance, they often focus entirely on receiving.
Yet abundance is also about circulation.
Energy moves.
Resources move.
Support moves.
Generosity creates movement.
One of the simplest ways to cultivate abundance is to contribute to something that genuinely matters to you.
This may be:
-
Donating money
-
Volunteering your time
-
Supporting a local cause
-
Helping a neighbour
-
Sharing your skills
-
Offering kindness without expectation
The key is not giving in order to receive.
The key is giving because it feels aligned with who you are.
Interestingly, many people discover that when they operate from a place of generosity and contribution, opportunities begin appearing in unexpected ways.
Not because abundance is transactional.
But because generosity naturally creates connection, meaning, and momentum.
The Real Secret to Abundance
Many people assume abundance is something external.
A number in a bank account.
A promotion.
A new client.
A lucky break.
But in my experience, abundance begins internally.
It begins with believing that more is possible.
It begins with creating space for opportunities to arrive.
It begins with noticing what is already working rather than focusing exclusively on what is missing.
These rituals are not magic solutions.
They are reminders.
Reminders to direct your attention towards possibility rather than limitation.
Towards gratitude rather than scarcity.
Towards growth rather than fear.
Whether you choose to place coins around your home, light a green candle, journal your future into existence, or contribute generously to others, each practice creates an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with abundance.
And often, that shift alone is enough to begin changing everything.
The more you create space for abundance, the easier it becomes to recognise when it arrives.
